Before applying for any open position at CPS Energy, you will need to create an account by clicking on Create a new account in the Sign In window to enter your applicant information. Creating an account will allow you to store your information for future use. Even if you are not interested in applying for a specific position at this time, establishing an account will allow you to create and manage saved searches so that a system generated e-mail will be sent to you when new jobs are posted that match your search criteria.
Once an account has been established, you may apply for job(s) you are interested in by clicking on the Apply to selected jobs in the Job Search page; here you will be able to complete the appropriate information prior to completing the application. Bolded fields are required to be completed.
In order to keep you informed on the status of your application, CPS Energy requires a valid e-mail address. You can apply for positions from any computer with internet access in the office, the library or at home. PCs will also be available for your use at CPS Energy located at 145 Navarro, in the Human Resources area, Main Office, first floor. If you are an employee applying through our website, you may use either your CPS Energy Outlook e-mail account at work or a personal e-mail account such as Yahoo!® or Hotmail for receiving e-mail notifications.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail almost immediately after submitting your application.
You will receive system-generated e-mail notifications throughout the process as your status changes. For example, if you are selected for an interview, you will receive an e-mail notification. Also, if another applicant is selected for the position, you will receive notification that the position has been filled. In addition, you can check the status of each position you have applied for by logging into the system.

CPS Energy offers applicants the option to register by creating an account on our Web site www.cpsenergy.com without applying to a specific job. Résumés can be stored and updated by the applicant as needed, to apply for future positions. Also, you will receive e-mail notifications of jobs fitting your qualifications once you have established an account.

Depending on the job, an HR representative/recruiter will inform you if testing is required.
The system is set to time-out if the program is inactive or has not been used for 30 or more minutes. If you are in the middle of completing your application and you need to come back at a later time to complete it; you can save it as a draft. When you log-in to your account later, you can continue where you left off. Unfinished applications will expire when the position is filled.
The recruiters in Human Resources will monitor the status of open positions in the system. If you do not respond in a timely manner to an e-mail notification, the recruiter will give you a call if the contact information was provided. You should be actively monitoring your application status and any e-mails you receive.
If you are not receiving e-mails from the automated careers system, you may need to check the e-mail (spam) filtering features enabled through your e-mail service provider. Some service providers may require that you add CPSEnergy.com and PeopleClick.com to your list of contacts, safe senders, or custom filters.
No, the application is a multiple page online form that cannot be printed as a blank form. Screenshots of the application form may be copied and saved in a Word document for later use.
In addition to your résumé and a cover letter, you may attach up to three additional documents to your application. You may also use the résumé building feature within the program to create a résumé if you do not already have one. Copies of college transcripts may be submitted electronically with the application. If you would like a copy of the application once it has been completed, you should use the print screen button on your PC.
Your basic candidate information, résumé and other documents will be stored in the system indefinitely and may be used to apply for other positions. The application is job specific and will need to be completed for each open position for which you are applying. You may choose to customize your résumé for different positions for which you apply. Once the online application has been completed and is submitted in the system, you will no longer be able to view the application; however, it is stored in the system for review by the recruiter and hiring manager, as appropriate.
If you uploaded a résumé previously and want to make edits, you must update it and upload it again. If you used the résumé building capability, within this system, you will be able to edit the document online.
Yes, once a candidate's information is stored and searchable, the recruiter may invite the candidate to apply for a position if their skill set matches the requirements for a specific job opening.
Once you have registered, you can log-in to your account at any time using your username and password. At that time, you may update your personal information profile and attach a new résumé or edit your résumé if created within this system.
