You must submit a Vendor Request Package to CPS Energy's Supplier Diversity Office to apply to join CPS Energy's Mailing Bid List. To obtain a Vendor Request Package via mail or e-mail, call the Supplier Diversity Office at (210) 353-2474, or follow the instructions below:

To ensure expedient review of your request, be sure you provide the following information when submitting your request:

• Contact Name
• Company Name
• Company Web site
• Address or P.O. Box
• Phone Number
• Fax Number
• Remittance address or P.O. Box
• E-mail address (specify e-mail address for receiving bid requests)
• A complete description of the commodities/services being offered for approval (technical literature, specifications, etc.)
• Brief history of your company
• Three business references (include points of contact and phone numbers)
• Previous projects (if applicable)
• Print and complete our Business Questionnaire; CPS Energy will use it to classify your business. Refer to the Business Questionnaire Definitions for more information on how CPS Energy classifies businesses.
• Print and complete a W9 Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification Form. CPS Energy will use it to process your invoice(s) to comply with IRS regulations. For more information, please call (210) 353-2938.

Print and complete the following listings, highlight the area(s) for which you are requesting approval, and attach them with the required information listed in Step 1: 

• Services listing - List of specific services
• Products listing - List of general stock products categories
• Nonstock products listing - List of specific non-stock products

Note: If you would like to provide services only, please review both the Services Listing and Non-Stock Products Listing, as some non-stock products require a service not listed on the Services Listing. You will receive notification of the status of your request by mail or e-mail within two weeks. Some products and services can be approved immediately, such as advertising and marketing, building maintenance, plumbing repair, etc. Others may require further review by user area personnel, such as engineering consultants or particular tools used only in one area, etc. Some products and/or services may take a bit longer as they have to be forwarded for detailed field testing such as transformers, reinforcing steel, electrical equipment, etc.

You will be notified if further information is needed or updated on the status of your request throughout the process. Once you become an approved contractor or supplier, our buyers will contact to you when bidding opportunities become available.
