Materials Management is responsible for the planning, procurement, storing and distribution of commodities and materials necessary for CPS Energy operations, excluding the purchase of wholesale power and coal. It is made up of three distinct but interlinked functional business areas that strive for world-class service excellence:
- Material Replenishment and Acquisition
- Warehouse and Distribution
- Reverse Logistics (Investment Recovery)
CPS Energy depends on our suppliers to provide the parts and materials needed to increase and enhance our services to our customers. Quality is critical to customer satisfaction. Defective parts lead to complaints and non value added activities. We count on our suppliers to strive for world-class quality levels. Offering high quality at low cost will increase supplier appeal. Supplying the right materials at the right time in the right quantity is critical to customer satisfaction. At the very least our suppliers must deliver materials on schedule in the amounts required.
