Commercial customers now have an option to use the Commercial eBill. Here are a few answers to frequently asked questions.
Yes, it is very secure. eBill does not require you to visit any external Web site. Your monthly CPS Energy eBill is sent directly to you via e-mail. The e-mail is encrypted and will be accessible by you only after your password is provided. Once accessed, your eBill statement is viewed offline on your personal computer.
For more information or to enroll as an eBill customer, contact your CPS Energy account manager.
You will receive a summary bill per business partner, with billing and usage information for all your accounts associated with that business partner. If the e-mail is too large for your mail system, the e-mail will be broken into acceptable sizes and sent. The first e-mail will contain the summary bill.
During the pilot phase of eBill implementation, CPS Energy will continue to send you a paper statement for the first two months. You will always have the option to request a copy of a paper statement for any account by calling a Customer Services Representative at (210) 353-3333, or toll-free at (800) 773-3077.
Certainly. CPS Energy can send eBill to the individual you designate. Your designee can then review the bill and forward to as many people as necessary.
By enrolling in eBill, you will no longer need to remain on Collective Billing. eBill presents account information and affords customers the same payment option (and more!) as Collective Billing.
Yes. Your bills will be delivered to you electronically through eBill and your payments will be made as usual.
All of your accounts can be paid with one electronic payment.
You may make a partial payment using the electronic payment option, but if the full payment is not received by the due date late fees will be assessed.
Payments made through the eBill may be made as late as 1:00 PM the due date of the statement without incurring late payment fees. (Electronic payments made after 1 p.m. CST will post the next business day).
You will receive an onscreen confirmation as well as an e-mail confirmation of receipt.
No. CPS Energy customer information is held confidential and is not released or sold to outside parties.
You will receive the exact same information included in the paper bill, as well as a downloadable data file.
As with any billing dispute, CPS Energy recommends that you contact your account representative with your concern as soon as possible. We also recommend that, to avoid late fees, you pay any disputed amount. Once the dispute is resolved, any amount due to you will be reimbursed.
You may elect to leave the eBill program at any time, with no penalty. Once you leave the program, you will receive paper statements each month.
