Customer Engineering

CPS Energy provides electric and natural gas services for all residential and commercial customers and developments in our service territory.  All service requests, whether new service installation requests, service remodel requests, All-Night Security Lighting (ANSL) requests or street lighting requests (associated with new residential developments), are handled by CPS Energy’s Customer Engineering Department. 

There are four organizational units within Customer Engineering that are structured to manage customers’ service needs based on the type of service request being made. These units are:

In performing its construction activities to provide electric and natural gas services to its customers, CPS Energy must comply with all applicable environmental and regulatory requirements. In order to ensure CPS Energy’s compliance with these requirements, new Environmental Compliance Review Requirements have been developed and will be implemented on January 2, 2014. Customers should review these procedures and familiarize themselves with the new requirements to avoid any unnecessary costs and delays to their projects.
