Terrell Hills Substation Relocation Project

CPS Energy plans to relocate the current Terrill Hills Substation located near Austin Highway and Rittiman Road. The new site will allow CPS Energy to build a three-unit substation large enough to meet the current electrical demands for this portion of our service area as well as greatly improve service reliability.

The new station will be located at the southeast corner of Exeter and Austin Hwy. The work will include rerouting transmission lines and all related distribution to the new site. The Exeter Substation is scheduled for completion by December 2009. The project is in the design phase with construction to begin January 2009.
