Toyota – Braunig Transmission Line Rebuild Project
CPS Energy is planning to rebuild an existing transmission line between the Toyota and Braunig substations. The transmission line route will be approximately 10.5 miles long. The project will involve a complete rebuild of the transmission line including foundations, line structures and electrical wires. CPS Energy plans to replace the transmission line along the existing route. There will be a change in the type of structures; the existing lattice structures will be replaced with steel poles.
Replacing the existing transmission line is an important step in continuing to provide reliable electric service to this area of San Antonio. The new line is scheduled to be completed by June 2014.
As with most projects, construction activities will impact residents in different ways. Construction activities will be focused around the new and old pole locations and therefore property owners will be contacted individually by CPS Energy team members to discuss project impacts
