Tuttle to Austin Highway Transmission Line Project

Beginning in February 2009, CPS Energy will replace transmission structures and conductors along an existing transmission line from Tuttle Power Plant across from the main post office on Perrin Beitel to our Lanark Substation near Austin Hwy.  This project will cover approximately 2 miles of 138 kV transmission line and will include rework of current distribution circuits.

The transmission line is being upgraded in order to handle larger capacity required by The Electric Reliability Council of Texas. This includes larger conductors and respectively larger structures/towers. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2010.

Currently, the project is in the design phase.
