CPS Energy’s New Service Delivery provides natural gas and electric service installation for a variety of new-construction projects. However, each project must meet specific requirements before installation can begin.

Custom Homes
For new gas and electric service to begin construction of a custom home, we prefer to work directly with the builder or business partner who will pay the charges associated with the installation. If you are an electrician, you may set up an account for the business partner. The business partner must provide you with their tax identification number and complete required documents.

Master Planned Developments
(Residential Subdivisions)
CPS Energy installs underground or overhead electric and natural gas infrastructure in front-lot easements for any master planned development or residential subdivision, including single family and multi-family dwellings. New Service Delivery requires applicants to complete necessary documents.

Commercial/Industrial Developments
For new gas and electric service to begin construction of a commercial/industrial development (including shopping centers, schools and hospitals, etc.), we prefer to work with the developer/business partner who will pay the charges associated with that installation. If you are an electrician or plumber, you may set up an account for the business partner. The business partner must provide you with their tax identification number and complete required documents.
