If you haven't subscribed to an RSS feed before, see our frequently asked questions below to help you receive valuable information from CPS Energy using this tool.
RSS stands for “Real Simple Syndication.” It is an XML-based data format and method to send data over the internet and is used for frequently published items, such as news, blogs, audio, video.
In general, RSS feeds allow customers to subscribe and receive timely updates on specific topics from their favorite websites. For example, you can receive information or updates about rebates offered by CPS Energy. All you have to do is subscribe to this feed from your preferred RSS reader. The data will automatically be sent to your RSS reader as CPS Energy posts updates to our feed. You will need to open your reader regularly to review your updated news. For example, when CPS Energy publishes new details about a rebate, you will receive that update via the RSS feed for which you subscribed.
RSS Readers allow you to view the RSS feeds for which you have subscribed. RSS readers may be accessed from your browser or your device (Blackberry, iPhone, etc.). There are hundreds of browser-based RSS readers you can use. From the CPS Energy RSS feed page, we have links to My Yahoo, Google, My AOL, My MSN, newsgator and SUBBLOGLINES.
You may want to have an RSS Reader on your cellular device. You will need to check with your service provider to see what options are available for RSS Readers for your specific device.

If you have subscribed to a CPS Energy RSS feed and are no longer interested in receiving this information, you can simply unsubscribe through your RSS reader. If you have subscribed to multiple RSS feeds and want to be removed completely, you must unsubscribe from each feed.
If you have problems subscribing to an RSS feed or are not receiving it, you can contact CPS Energy's Customer Service at 210-353-2222. Be prepared to provide information about what system/device you are using, which RSS reader you are using and which RSS feed you are trying to connect to.
