CPS Energy’s Critical Care Program provides eligible customers using electrically-operated medical equipment in their homes with additional time to pay their bills.
Customers interested in utilizing this program must print and complete an application with their physician, then submit it to CPS Energy by visiting one of our customer service centers. Customers also may call (210) 353-2222 to enroll.
Proper record maintenance and management is vital to ensure that well-informed decisions are made regarding customers on this program. Therefore, it is necessary to re-enroll in the program by completing a new application when a customer moves to a new residence. This will help us to ensure that our customers continue to receive the benefits of the program.
Customers who participate in the program will have their accounts re-evaluated on a semi-annual basis to determine continued eligibility. To facilitate the re-enrollment process, CPS Energy will mail a new application to the customer’s residence. The completed application must be received from the patient’s physician to re-enroll in the program.
