Our commitment is best demonstrated by the company's investment of more than three-quarters of a billion dollars for state-of-the-art emissions-control equipment at our new coal-fired plant and for upgrading pollution control mechanisms at existing power plants.
Additionally, CPS Energy has spent $55 million on nitrogen-oxide reductions at its facilities and decreased emissions that form ozone by 50 percent. The company also utilizes nuclear energy, a clean-air energy, to provide a significant source of electrical generation for its customers while it continues to build its investment in renewable energy sources like wind and solar power.
