Stay cool during our hot Texas summer while saving energy and money. When you replace your central air conditioning system or window air conditioner, choose a new, high-efficiency model, and let CPS Energy help you with a rebate.
Currently, CPS Energy is offering rebates when you buy and install qualifying high-efficiency central air conditioning and heat pump systems or window units.
This rebate is not available for new construction projects and only applies to home improvement or retrofit projects. New construction projects are eligible for our New Construction, Solar Photovoltaic or Solar Water Heater Rebate programs.
Rebates for central air conditioning systems and central heat pump systems are determined by the overall seasonal energy efficiency ratio, or SEER. Central units that qualify for a CPS Energy rebate must have a SEER rating of 15.0 or greater, as well as an EER of 12.0 or greater. Your licensed air conditioning contractor or service technician can provide that information.
Window unit air conditioners that qualify for a rebate must be ENERGY STAR® certified. Window units of 8,000 BTU or less qualify for a one-time $50 credit. Window units greater than 8,000 BTU qualify for a $100 credit.
