Looking for Comfort, Convenience and Energy Efficiency?
Natural gas is the most efficient energy choice for home heating applications and heat-generating appliances. The U.S. Department of Energy says homes with combined energy -- that is, homes with both electricity and natural gas -- require 20 to 30 percent less total energy production than comparable all-electric homes. That's good for your monthly bill and even better for your piggy bank. And homes that use natural gas for heat, hot water, drying clothes and cooking contribute up to 60 percent less emissions into our atmosphere. Now that’s good for everyone!
CPS Energy is offering a gas appliance rebate on any size, make or model on the following appliances:
$100 rebate on Gas Clothes Dryers*
$50 rebate on Gas Water Heaters – both tank and tank-less*
$50 rebate on a Gas Cooktop or Gas Stove*
Why Should You Choose a Gas Water Heater?
It produces over twice as much hot water per dollar as an electric water heater.
It offers longer service life and lower maintenance costs than a comparable electric unit.
Energy savings will continue during the lifetime of the appliance.
Why Should You Choose a Gas Clothes Dryer?
It dries three loads of laundry for the cost of one load in an electric dryer.
Moist heat from natural gas is gentler on fabrics, resulting in softer sheets and towels and brighter colors.
It produces 30 percent less emissions into the atmosphere.
Why Should You Choose a Gas Cooktop or Stove?
It provides consistent heat output, precise temperature control and easy cleaning.
It costs about 25 percent as much to operate as electric units.
It continues to work as a cooking source even when electric power is interrupted.
*These rebates are open to any CPS Energy residential gas customer. Rebates are only applicable to those who directly purchase a qualifying gas appliance. Rebates are not applicable to new construction homes, with the exception of a gas dryer if it is directly purchased by the homeowner.
