New ENERGY STAR® qualified windows can help reduce your energy bill up to 15 percent (depend on regional climate). ENERGY STAR® qualified windows also can protect your possessions from being damaged by the sun.
CPS Energy is offering a rebate of $1.00 per square foot on ENERGY STAR® Windows.
Rebate Guidelines:
$1.00 per square foot
Rebate only for replacement of old windows. (Retrofits only)
Windows must be ENERGY STAR® qualified in the San Antonio area, certified by the
National Fenestration Rating Council and have a U-factor of 0.65 or less, with a Solar Heat
Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of 0.40 or less.
Replacement windows and sashes must be installed in a conditioned space.
Attach an itemized and dated invoice from the contractor or retailer (include window manufacturer, model and size) along with your application form.
Rebate will apply to windows facing south, east and west. (Exclude windows facing north.)
Funding for this program is limited to funds availability.
The measure must be installed in a home served by CPS Energy between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008.
The completed application form, together with the itemized receipt detailing the work completed, must be received by December 31, 2008 to be eligible. CPS Energy reserves the right to make changes to the program without notice.
Applications must be received within 30 days of completion of projects.
CPS Energy reserves the right to inspect all projects. The customer may lose the incentive if
CPS Energy cannot verify the information provided on the application form. Square footage measurements will be verified against Bexar County property tax records.
Maximum rebate per customer is $2,500 total for all rebates excluding air conditioning, CFL, and Mow Down Smog.
