Water Heaters -- Going from Electric to Gas Can Result in Cash

Convert to a Gas Water Heater and Qualify for $2,600 in Rebates
gas water heater

For a limited time, if you replace your electric water heater with a natural gas water heater, CPS Energy will provide you with a rebate up to $1,100. See our conversion rebate form for details and program qualifications. In addition, you may also qualify for a $1,500 federal tax rebate!

Gas water heaters, available in conventional or tankless models, have set the standard for families with active lifestyles, producing more hot water with less energy cost compared to electric water heaters. Because water heating is the second largest home energy use, using a gas water heater can save the average homeowner approximately $ 79.00 per year. In addition, gas water heaters last longer and cost less to maintain than comparable electric units.

CPS Energy has long been known for outstanding environmental stewardship.  Using natural gas for heat, hot water, drying clothes and cooking can lower electric consumption and with up to 60 percent fewer emissions into the atmosphere.  Do your part to “be green” by using a gas water heater, it will save you money while protecting our environment.
