Solar, Battery, or Generator Installers
To participate as a registered contractor installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, generators, or batteries in the CPS Energy territory, contractors must register with CPS Energy.
What are the requirements to register as a distributed generation installer?
Contractors must fulfill and maintain the following requirements:
- Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Electrical Contractor License
- Commercial General Liability Insurance (COI)
- Maintain a positive reputation with customers and review platforms.
- Review our Distributed Generation Manual for a list of all requirements
To qualify to offer Commercial Incentives and to be listed on our list of Registered Solar Contractors, contractors must fulfill the requirements above and provide the following:
- North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners - PV Installation Professional (PVIP)
- Registered with the City of San Antonio (COSA) as a State Electrical Contractor (SEC)
