CPS Energy’s offices and customer service centers will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 7:45 AM. Although our call center will be closed for regular business, we remain open for customers to report natural gas or electric emergencies at any time by calling 210-353-HELP (4357) or 1-800-870-1006. Online services may be conveniently accessed through Manage My Account (MMA).

System Maintenance: Please note that system maintenance will take place from Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 5:30 AM to 7:00 AM. We will be experiencing planned maintenance on our customer information system and will only be able to process electric emergency-related calls by calling 210-353-HELP (4357) or 1-800-870-1006. Online outage reporting and outage map updates will be unavailable.

You can pay your bill with cash, check, or a credit or debit card.

Use MMA to:

Pay by check for free.
Pay by credit card with a $2.35 vendor processing fee.
AutoPay for free directly from a bank checking account.
Pay by text with a $2.35 vendor processing fee using a credit or debit card. Enroll in pay by text by making the first payment through MMA. We send a text message five days before the next bill is due. Once confirmed, we process the payment using the credit or debit card on file.

An eCheck with a $2.35 vendor processing fee via the One Time Payment Online feature

Text

Pay by text – Once you enroll to pay by text (by making your first payment through Manage My Account), you will receive a text message five days before your bill is due. When you accept the payment, it is processed through your credit or debit card with a $2.35 vendor processing fee.

You can pay your CPS Energy bill with cash, check or money order at any of our customer service centers. We do not accept credit cards at customer service centers.

You can pay your bill by redeeming a gift certificate, or you buy a gift certificate for a friend. Gift certificates are only available at our customer service centers.

Cash accepted at the registers for a $1.99 fee at 7-Eleven, CVS, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, H-E-B, Pilot Flying J, Stripes, Walgreens, and Western Union. Western Union payments at H-E-B include a $1.00 service fee.
Make payments through Western Union and their locations and at local retailers H-E-B, Woodforest National Bank, Money Box/Speedy Cash or other retail stores customer service areas. There is a fee of one dollar ($1.00) paid to the third-party vendor.

Remember your barcode

Just show the sales clerk the barcode from your printed bill or the payment portal. Please note: Barcode payments include a $1.99 fee.

The barcode is located at the bottom of page 2 of your statement. Save it to your phone for fast, easy payments. (Powered by Kubra EZ-Pay)
Each barcode is tied to a single account. If your account number changes, you’ll need to  download a new barcode from Kubra EZ-Pay

Directly from a bank checking account
By cash or check in person at our payment centers (for free) or at retail outlets (for $1.99)
With a physical check by mail using the prepaid envelope included with your bill

Yes, you can use the online one-time payment option to pay on behalf of another customer using their account number, and either the phone number or ZIP code linked to the account.

You can buy CPS Energy gift certificates at any of our Customer Service Centers. Gift certificates are available in amounts ranging from $10 to $100 and are valid for two years from the date of purchase. No account information or address is required at the time of purchase. Gift certificates can be applied to any CPS Energy account, including inactive accounts.
