A Celebration of Meat + Music

All roads lead south, and CPS Energy is heading back to Brooks for the 2026 GrillsGiving BBQ competition at historic Hangar 9 on Saturday, November 7, 2026 from Noon - 5:00 pm. 

GrillsGiving is a BBQ competition fundraiser and family-friendly event featuring great food, live music, free parking, community fellowship & more. Teams across the community compete for top honors in brisket, ribs, chicken, and the coveted People’s Choice Award. 

Net proceeds from GrillsGiving will benefit the Residential Energy Assistance Partnership (REAP).

About REAP

REAP provides utility assistance to customers and families who are experiencing financial hardship to pay their utility bill. Established in 2002, REAP is a partnership between CPS Energy, the City of San Antonio and Bexar County. 

REAP provides energy bill assistance to those in need.

    REAP is a 501(c)(3) designated nonprofit established in 2002 through a partnership between CPS Energy, Bexar County and the City of San Antonio. REAP provides energy bill assistance twice a year to those in need. CPS Energy contributes up to $1 million annually to REAP and works throughout the year to raise additional funds for the program.
