What is Evolve?
CPS Energy is working to better serve our growing community. Through our Evolve initiative, we’re upgrading our technology and improving how we operate to make your experience easier and more convenient.
These improvements will help you interact with us more easily and allow us to serve you more efficiently. Our goal is to build a more reliable, responsive, and customer-focused utility.
Evolve: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation
Our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation is a multi-year journey to modernize the systems and processes that power CPS Energy. This transformation will bring our core functions together on a single, unified platform. Connecting our systems and streamlining processes will improve how we plan projects, support employees, and deliver reliable, efficient service to our customers.
What has been done so far?
Initial phases of the Evolve strategy focused on current state assessments, planning with the objective of achieving quick wins while developing a longer term plan for transformation. The Global Design phase of the ERP program began in April 2025.
Teams have reviewed current processes, identified opportunities for improvement, and determined how new technology can better support our work. This effort will help shape and prepare the new system that will support our operations moving forward.
Where we are in the transformation?
We are in the next phase of the transformation, focused on designing and building the new system. Using what we have learned so far, teams are configuring how the solution will work for CPS Energy.
Over the next two years, this work will focus on shaping and building the tools and processes that will support our operations in the future.
