What is the Affordability Discount Program (ADP)?

CPS Energy’s Affordability Discount Program (ADP) helps low-income customers with a monthly discount on electricity and gas services. 

We're always ready to help you, and we have a variety of plans to assist you with your bill. For example, if you’re a residential customer, you may qualify for a discount on your monthly service charge.

How do I qualify for ADP?

Is your income at or below 125% of the federal poverty guidelines? If so, you may qualify for a discount on your monthly energy bill.  

To qualify for this discount, your income must be at or below 125% of federal poverty guidelines and you must meet one (1) of the following requirements:

  • Be 60 years old or older.
  • Have a disability.
  • Use life-sustaining medical equipment.
  • Have pre-school aged children or school children age 18 and under.
  • Households with demonstrated energy burden more than 10% (defined as annual energy expense more than 10% of annual household income).

What are the ADP Income Guidelines?

ADP income guidelines for 2024: family sizes of 1 must earn less than $1569 per month, 2 earn less than $2129, 3 less than $2689, 4 less than $3249, 5 less than $3809, 6 less than $4369, 7 less than $4929, and a family of 8 must earn less than $5489 per month.

How much is the ADP Discount?

For 2024, monthly discount for electric is $13.48, for gas is $4.88, combined is $18.36, with an annual total of $220.32.
