CPS Energy’s offices, customer service centers, and the call center will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2022 in observance of Independence Day. Offices will reopen Tuesday, July 5 at 7:45AM. Customers can report natural gas or electric emergencies by calling 210-353-HELP (4357) or 1-800-870-1006 anytime. Online services may be conveniently accessed through Manage My Account.  

Starting Friday, July 1 our Customer Service Center hours will be: 7:45AM to 5:00PM Monday-Friday (except holidays).

CPS Energy is committed to providing our customers with safe and reliable natural gas service.  In accordance with recent federal regulations, our Gas Solutions team is in the process of deploying an Excess Flow Valve (EFV) installation program on some of our existing natural gas service lines at no charge to qualifiying customers..  

An EFV is designed to automatically stop the flow of gas if the service line is broken. Stopping the flow of natural gas from a broken service line significantly reduces the risk of a natural gas incident that could result in personal injury and/or property damage.

2017 natural gas regulations require us to notify customers of their right to request an EFV.

EFVs are not appropriate in all instances and are not installed on all natural gas service lines.
